The 140th Canton Fair will introduce a new international medical experience program, highlighting the growing visibility of China's healthcare services among global visitors.
The 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), opening October 15, 2026, in Guangzhou, will feature Fair2Care, a new International Medical Experience Program designed to introduce international buyers and visitors to China's healthcare capabilities.
According to an announcement distributed by PR Newswire on October 12, the initiative will combine an on-site exhibition with off-site healthcare experiences, offering visitors opportunities to learn about medical services, health management, and traditional Chinese medicine in Guangzhou.
Fair2Care introduces healthcare services into one of China's most established international trade platforms. The program includes two components:
1. International Medical Services Zone. The on-site exhibition will take place October 15–19 at West Hall 1F, Canton Fair Convention Center, Area D. The exhibition will focus on four themes:
Together, these themes aim to showcase Guangzhou's international healthcare sector and its capabilities across medical specialties, wellness services, and related industries.
2. Off-Site Healthcare Experiences. In addition to the exhibition, Fair2Care will offer three curated off-site experience channels, introducing participants to health management services, advanced medical care, and traditional Chinese medicine and wellness. Participation in these experiences is subject to availability and advance registration.
International healthcare is increasingly becoming part of a broader conversation about cross-border services, global mobility, and access to specialized medical expertise. The introduction of Fair2Care at the Canton Fair is a noteworthy example of how healthcare is being presented to international audiences beyond traditional medical conferences and professional networks.
For global visitors, such initiatives may create opportunities to become more familiar with healthcare providers and services that would otherwise be difficult to evaluate from abroad. However, awareness is only the first step.
Accessing healthcare across borders involves more than identifying a hospital or learning about a treatment. Individuals and families may also need help understanding provider capabilities, determining whether a service is appropriate for their needs, coordinating medical information, and navigating the practical requirements of receiving care in another country. These considerations become especially important when healthcare decisions involve complex conditions, specialized procedures, or ongoing care.
At Kaiyan Global Health, we see developments such as Fair2Care as part of a broader evolution in international healthcare.
Greater visibility of medical capabilities can help create awareness and encourage cross-border engagement. But meaningful access requires something more: reliable information, thoughtful coordination, clear communication, and continuity throughout the healthcare journey.
For individuals exploring healthcare options internationally, the essential questions remain:
These are the questions that shape Kaiyan's approach to cross-border healthcare coordination.
As international interest in China's healthcare capabilities continues to develop, initiatives that improve visibility can play a constructive role. Turning that visibility into a reliable experience for individuals and families, however, depends on the quality of the services and coordination behind it.
Healthcare access is not simply about knowing where care is available. It is about helping people navigate their options with clarity and confidence.
