Cixi Roundtable Highlights Growing Demand for Coordinated Healthcare

Kaiyan ENA Health Roundtable  |  Cixi, China  |  October 29, 2026

For entrepreneurs and their families, accessing healthcare is often about more than finding a hospital. It is about knowing whom to consult, understanding available options, and having reliable support when healthcare needs become complex.

That was a central theme of the KAIYAN ENA Health Roundtable hosted by Kaiyan Global Health in Cixi on October 29. The small-group discussion brought together 14 entrepreneurs to explore healthcare resources in China and Japan, with a focus on practical needs and cross-border care coordination.

A Conversation Shaped by Real Health Concerns

The program introduced Kaiyan's international healthcare coordination model and the areas of focus of its Japan Hub, including preventive health checkups, healthy aging, pain management, and consultations related to regenerative medicine.

Director Yan, a nutrition professional affiliated with a Shanghai tertiary hospital, spoke about metabolic health, diabetes, and chronic disease management. Dr. Masashi Ishikawa joined virtually from Japan to discuss regenerative medicine and stem-cell-related approaches. These discussions emphasized the importance of professional assessment and understanding the evidence and regulatory context of emerging treatments.

Four Areas of Interest

Metabolic health and diabetes. Participants raised questions about blood glucose management, long-term monitoring, and finding appropriate specialist support.

Cognitive health and Alzheimer's disease. Families wanted to better understand evaluation pathways, specialist expertise, and how to approach concerns about cognitive decline.

Parkinson's disease and neurological care. Neurological conditions prompted questions during the event and specific inquiries afterward, suggesting interest in specialist consultations and coordinated next steps.

Regenerative medicine and healthy longevity. Emerging approaches, including stem-cell-related therapies, attracted attention. Questions about NMN also arose. These topics require careful consideration of clinical evidence, treatment status, safety, and applicable regulations.

The Need Goes Beyond Access

A recurring theme was the desire for dependable, ongoing guidance—not simply an introduction to a doctor. For internationally active families, care may involve multiple specialists, medical records, languages, and institutions. Personal connections can help open doors, but they do not always provide the structured follow-through that complex cases require.

Kaiyan's role is to help clients navigate that process: clarify their needs, identify relevant medical resources, organize consultations and records, support cross-border communication, and coordinate follow-up. Clinical evaluation and treatment decisions remain with licensed medical professionals.

The Cixi roundtable offered a useful view of what entrepreneurs and their families are asking for: trustworthy expertise, well-informed choices, and continuity from the first question through the next stage of care.

For Kaiyan, the next step is to turn these discussions into appropriate individual follow-ups and practical partnerships—measured by real needs addressed, not attendance alone.
